“Traditions are our roots and a profile of who we are as individuals and who we are as a family. They are our roots, which give us stability and a sense of belonging – they ground us.”– Lidia Bastianich
We all have our small traditions. Traditions that we share with family and friends, but also our own personal traditions. As we grow and evolve so do our traditions because we find the greatest comfort in them. Something small like going into the new year in a warm bubble bath with a glass of wine, some nice classical music and a good book. It’s the things that ground us most and remind us of those we love. Traditions don’t only keep us ground and give us stability and belong, but they also honour the ones we have lost.
