“For me, every hour is grace. And I feel gratitude in my heart each time I can meet someone and look at his or her smile.”Elie Wiesel
Has a stranger opened a door for you or helped you with something without having to be asked or even if it’s not their job? I’m not gonna lie, it makes me blush and say thank you and give that shy smile. But, do you notice that light in that person’s eye when you thank them? That’s them appreciating the recognition, just like it annoys you when someone doesn’t thank you for opening the door and there is nothing more than what you want to do is say ‘your welcome’ really sarcastically… I do it with my parents if I’ve done a load of tasks and they start to complain, it’s something that I learned from them. So, I use it! It’s wrong but you know I don’t spend an hour plus cleaning the kitchen after other people have cooked and made a mess for fun.
It’s also the people you meet the friends you’ve had or once had that make all the difference. I am honestly thankful for every person who has walked into my life… even those who have left or had to be forcibly removed. At the time I most probably wasn’t but now I am, because without them I wouldn’t have learned something I needed to know… I wouldn’t be who I am today.
